RUMBA CUBANA WITH HOMERO GONZALEZ

RUMBA CUBANA WITH HOMERO GONZALEZ

Traditionally rumba has been classified into three main subgenres: yambú, guaguancó and columbia.Guaguancó is a couple dance, the male periodically attempts to “catch” his partner with a single thrust of his pelvis. This erotic movement is called the vacunao. The specific movements do not have much in common with Cuban couple dance salsa. Also, the music is different ("own genre": Rumba, with its own clave = rhytmic signature) The dance is gender specific, which means that women learn different movements than men. The material is created solo, then put together.
